Colorado Zero Emissions Vehicle Mandate
ColoZEV
This project promotes the passage of a Colorado Zero-Emissions
Vehicle Mandate initiative. If you're interested in participating in this
project or not, we recommend you see the movie "Who Killed the
Electric Car" before inquiring about this project here in Colorado. See
also this California Air Resource Board Link. One of the key points
brought out in this film is that safety features on cars have generally
come about as the result of compulsory government regulation, and
this is likely to be true of Zero-Emissions Vehicle propagation too. The
second thing that is important is that Zero-Emissions Vehicles are
practical, have been available, and are economically feasible based on
the California experience. The only thing really holding back
zero-emissions vehicles is the absence of voter-driven ballot initiatives
to require them. We can do it, and we can do it now.
The Center for a Reasoning Society actively promotes such a
Zero-Emissions Vehicle Mandate for Colorado. If you are interested in
participating in this project, please inquire through the contact us page.
