| Tangible Inspiration Mission of Reason™ encourages the appreciation of the natural world, personal insight, human relationships, and artistic creativity as ways of inspiring us to meet life's challenges. These sources of fulfillment and joy offer not only motivation and purpose of being, but they integrate well with a reasoned understanding of life. | Naturally Inspired The great pleasure of discovering things in the natural world is one of the fulfilling things in life. Uncovering things about the cosmos and contributing information to humanity's common body of knowledge is one of the greatest tasks we can set for ourselves in life. This alone can be the basis for a tremendously rewarding life. |

| Compassion Perhaps the greatest inspiration of all is empathy. As we expand our sense of identity out beyond the self, to encompass others, we can feel a great sense of joy in contributing to society and in alleviating suffering in individuals. This result is the motivation for compassion itself, it is also the reward. This is the basis for the charitable and proactive social activities of MOR. |

| Conscious Art™ MOR members involved in Conscious Art™ explore their own minds, the world, and ideas thorugh the creative act. They use this process to reach out to the larger community in a nurturing and rational dialog where both the artist and audience have an opportunity to engage and discover new ways of thinking. Conscious Art can be fun, decorative, and playful. It always strives to raise our level of awareness and understanding in ways that make life more worthwhile. | Using our Cultural Legacy The intellectual traditions of our global society have a rich trove of literature, poetry, metaphor, and customs that are our heritage. MOR encourages an interest in these things as members explore them in the light of reason, bringing valuable lessons into the modern world while members maintain their modern and rational awareness. Sharing with people who are immersed in these traditions is also an activity of MOR. Such interchanges take place on field trips and through speaker invitations. |

| Meditation Learning to understand and appreciate our own emotions, mental states, and moments of insight can be a very rewarding experience. In MOR such experiences are explored in a rational frame of understanding. While they do not play a major role in MOR activities, acknowledging the personal experiences in the mind is important as a mechanism for self-awareness and personal development. Like modern psychology and sociology do for society, each of us can take responsibility for our mental state and proactively change and explore it. |
