MOR-CA Relationship

Conscious Art™ is an independent art movement started by Erik
Moore in the late 1980s at the University of Florida.  The Conscious
Art™ movement works independent of the Mission of Reason™
(MOR).  Check out the
Conscious  Art™ website.  At Mission of
Reason™ there is a special interest group that focuses on
Conscious Art™ (CA-SIG) as a component of MOR activities..

This special interest group is involved in both creative, interpretive,
and critical activities that encourage the raising of personal
awareness and rational discourse on art.

Using Conscious Art™

The Conscious Art™ Framework is used in MOR curriculum,
activities, and in the "Citizen of the Word" program.  The Conscious
Art™ Framework is used by MOR because it supports  self-
reflective creativity, open dialogue, and personal development
through art.  It allows people to engage an audience and use the
art that they create to initiate reasoned dialog and intellectual
exploration.  It also encourages the use of art for exploring
personal and social issues in a way that brings things  from our
subliminal awareness to our conscious consideration.
Participation

MOR members can participate in the Conscious Art™ special
interest group, or they can participate directly in the Conscious
Art™ Movement separate from the Mission of Reason™.  To
become involved in MOR's CA-SIG, check it out using the "Special
Interest Group" button to the left, and if you're interested, click on
the "Contact MOR" button above to introduce yourself and let us
know how you'd like to participate.
